Call for Volunteers for 10th Festival, NOW OPEN!

Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, an international celebration of the art of film set in the border town of Berwick upon Tweed, today launches its call for volunteers to support the 10th edition of its award-winning Festival! And with recent research from the Citizens Advice Bureau indicating that volunteering boosts self-esteem, employabilty and health – especially mental health - there’s never been a better time to sign-up.

If you're interested in volunteering and helping us to deliver our diverse and successful range of activities, then visit the volunteering page now!

From stewarding and invigilation, to being a point of contact at our information desk, photographing the Festival, to working behind the scenes, events assistance, artist liaison and supporting our technical teams there's a whole range of opportunities to suit anyone, provided you're over 16 years old.

“We encourage applications from people of all ages in and around Berwick, if you’re just finishing school and in the early stages of your career, this is a great opportunity to get some work experience and increase employability. Equally, we’ve no maximum age limit, our eldest volunteer is 79 and it can be a great way to use your skills in the Berwick community, meet new people and be part of an important event for the town.”

Melanie Iredale, Festival Director
