"I submitted my film to Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival..." and you should too
In 2013, Alex Nevill saw our call for submissions and entered his documentary 'Fishcakes and Cocaine', which was selected as part of our Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival 2013 programme.
We caught up with him recently and talked about how he came to enter his work and the opportunities the Festival has opened up for him.
"When I found out 'Fishcakes & Cocaine had been selected, I was on location working towards a feature production . While it doesn’t change the achievement of making a film, festival selection is great recognition of the effort that has gone into your project. It can be hard to gauge the relative success and failures of your work until it screens with a proper audience so for me the chance to exhibit at a festival like Berwick was invaluable."
