Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival – Call for Volunteers
Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival returns this year from Wednesday 25th – Sunday 29th September. This years edition promises to be the biggest and best yet and we are now offering opportunities for enthusiastic, dedicated and friendly volunteers to help create the biggest and most successful edition to date.
Last year more than 50 volunteers from across the UK helped transform the entire town of Berwick Upon Tweed into one big screen for 5 days in September. Volunteers annually take part in all aspects of the festival organisation and delivery, and in return are provided with unique access to the festival - and plenty of freebies.
Volunteers come from a range of backgrounds and cover activities in all areas of the festival delivery, offering a chance for everyone to take part.
We hope to provide each volunteer with a unique experience of the festival, tailored to suit their skills, interests and passions. To apply you must be at least 16 years of age, and there is no maximum age limit.
Benefits for volunteers include a festival pass, preview screenings of the programme, a free festival t-shirt and lots more. Assistance with travel and accommodation may be available for some as arranged through the Volunteers Coordinator.
About Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival
Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival returns for its ninth celebration of the art of film – Wednesday 25th – Sunday 29th September – illuminating the whole town through premiere screenings, site-specific installations and specially commissioned projects.
Each year the programme responds to a chosen theme, and this year we face North by Northeast; exploring Berwick's Nordic roots, and our region's historical, cultural and industrial links to Northern Europe, and to the North Sea which connects us.
