Once again we have teamed up with Berwick Youth Project to open up the film world to young people in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the surrounding area.
We are inviting everyone aged 13 - 19 to come along to the Beehive on Golden Square, Berwick every Thursday from Thursday 14th June through to Thursday 27th September from 6-9pm to find out about films, and about how they can get involved in September’s Festival!
Two Film Night ‘taster’ sessions have already been held in April and May, and have gone down a storm with those involved – and the young people who attended eagerly await the return of the regular weekly sessions from mid-June. The sessions involve young people watching some great films, taking part in quizzes, helping to programme the Festival and being part of the selection committee for the Chris Anderson Award for Best Young Filmmaker!
Film Night is totally free of charge and young people will also be able to take advantage of exclusive benefits such as free VIP Festival passes and early booking on to the Festival’s filmmaking workshops. The sessions will once again be run by the Festival’s Youth Projects Producer Adam Graham, who has ten years of experience in film, film education, and a background in running Leeds Young People’s Film Festival.
Film Night at the Beehive is a partnership between the the Festival and Berwick Youth Project, and is gratefully supported by The Northern Angel Fund, via Community Foundation.
To get involved in Film Night: just drop in to the Beehive any Thursday at 6pm from 14th June, or email Adam at email@example.com, or call Merrick at Berwick Youth Project on 01289 333109
