Film Night returns, in partnership with Berwick Youth Project
The Festival has teamed up once again with Berwick Youth Project to open up the film world to young people in Berwick-upon-Tweed and the surrounding area.
As an addition to the youth project’s regular film club, the Festival and the Youth Project are inviting everyone between the ages of 13 and 19 to come along to the Beehive on Golden Square, Berwick on Thursday 10th May from 6-9pm for a taster session of ‘Film Night’ to find out how they can get involved in the Festival, the world of Hollywood and beyond!
Film Night will then take place at the Beehive every Thursday from June 14th, 6–9pm, through to the Festival in September, giving young people the chance to see some great films, take part in quizzes with the chance to win prizes, help to programme the Festival and be part of the selection committee for the Chris Anderson Award for Best Young Filmmaker!
Film Night is totally free of charge and young people will also be able to take advantage of exclusive benefits such as free VIP Festival passes and early booking on the Festival’s filmmaking workshops. The sessions will once again be run by the Festival’s Youth Projects Producer Adam Graham, who has years of experience in film, film education, and a background in running Leeds Young People’s Film Festival.
Film Night at the Beehive is a partnership between the Festival and the Youth Project, and is gratefully supported by The Northern Angel Fund, via Community Foundation.
To get involved, just drop into the Beehive on 10th May, email Adam at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call Merrick at Berwick Youth Project on 01289 333109
