Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival - CALL FOR BOARD MEMBERS

Since its inauguration in 2005, Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival (BFMAF) has established itself as one of the UK’s few film festivals that is as serious about new cinema as it is about commissioning and exhibiting artists’ work - really taking cinema beyond the film theatre. Producing an ambitious programme at the intersection of film and artists’ moving image in unique locations around Berwick-upon-Tweed, the Festival’s film commissions have also gone on to tour worldwide.

In recognition of this, BFMAF is a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO), guaranteeing funding from Arts Council England until March 2018. As we work towards our twelfth annual event, and as the Festival moves onto its next stage of its development, we are seeking creative and dynamic individuals who can contribute their knowledge and expertise and join our Board of Directors.

If you want to help shape our vision and grow the Festival, we are particularly looking to appoint board members with backgrounds in the following fields:

• A visual artist, critic or curator
• Working in the cinema exhibition sector
• With a legal or finance background
• With experience of community education and outreach
• With skills in marketing & PR
• With connections in the heritage or economic development sectors
