The Innocents

Friday 25th September / 1:45PM @ The Maltings Theatre & Cinema

Kelly's work explores the relationship between 'materiality and perception' via films and objects that pose questions about the limits of representation. The Innocents examines the complex associations between found photos, the re-enactment of a Truman Capote documentary and a Super-8 film reminiscing about the early avant-garde.

Screening as part of the Berwick New Cinema Shorts programme. From desktop documentary to flicker film, Berwick New Cinema Shorts is a specialist programme probing facts, fictions, representations and violence. Transgressing restraints of genre, capital and expectation these are films that throb with unbounded visual imagination, are spiced with humour and expand our understandings of film and moving image.
