Make Your Own Soundtrack

Sunday 29th September / 12PM @ The Maltings Theatre & Cinema

Director of Dummy Jim, Matt Hulse will be in town and he’ll be making lots of noise! This drop-in workshop led by Matt will give you the chance to make your own soundtrack. Get inventive - bring your own objects from home, or get creative with a number of items here in the studio and work with others to create an eclectic soundscape to sequences from silent movies, including extracts from Dummy Jim.

You’ll be able to create your very own improvised soundscape from anything you can lay your hands on - household items, discarded trash, gems washed up on the seashore, charity shop discoveries, mystery objects – anything as long as it makes a sound! It can crackle, ping, hiss, boing, shake, snap, resonate, sigh, ring, sound, whistle or groan! Come and be a composer for the day in the ‘Found Object Orchestra’ and make your very own film score.

Free, drop-in workshop suitable for all ages – no experience required, and no need to book – just turn up!
